Natural Bridge State Resort Park

We decided to celebrate our belated 30th anniversary in Natural Bridge State Resort Park. It offers a variety of lodging choices including 11 cottages and rooms at Hemlock Lodge, 35 of which have a private balcony.

There are also two campgrounds in the park: Middle Fork and Whittleton. (Click on the links for reviews.)

You can fish, canoe, and kayak at Mill Creek Lake. The park offers a variety of hikes you can take. I will make a separate post on them next week.

If you don’t want to hike the entire way to the famous Natural Bridge, you can have the sky lift to take you most of the way up.

They also have a cute mini-golf course.

Because of Covid, the pool was closed and I don’t think they were doing the square dances at Hoedown Island.

The park is also very close to Red River Gorge, which is a beautiful drive with tons of trails and camping options.

Here is a link to the official page of the state park. We enjoyed all of the hiking and camping for our 30th anniversary. We definitely plan to come back to this area.
